Pasta is one of my most favorite things in the world. However, there are few foods less appetizing than improperly seasoned pasta. There is a certain blandness that comes with pasta cooked in unsalted water that the most delicious sauce cannot remedy. The reason being that as the pasta cooks, it absorbs some of the pasta water, ergo, seasoned pasta water = seasoned pasta.
So many cooks out there crank out mediocre pasta dishes without knowing what they are doing wrong. Well, let me help you out. SALT YOUR PASTA WATER! Thats it!! Those 4 simple words will help you along to a more delicious pasta experience.
All you have to do is:
Boil your water
Pour in a couple of teaspoons of salt
Add pasta
Cook until Al dente
Yummmm
I don't salt my pasta water :-o!!!!! Have I not learned anything from you?!
